Swim Start: 8:00 AM
Start and Finish: 4th Avenue North, Jacksonville Beach, FL
Distance: 1.25 Mile Swim or 2.5 Mile Swim

Rules

• Each swimmer must wear a swim cap.
• Swimmers may not touch the ocean bottom.
• No swim aids (fins, paddles, etc.) will be allowed.

• Awards from Splishcustom.com for overall male and female for both races. Each age group in each race will receive an age-group award.
  

Age-Groups

• Age groups 15 & under, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, etc, through 55-59, 60 and up.

Parking

• Parking at the Jax Bch Pier; Swimmers will be transported to the swim start. Swimmers finish before the pier.

Onsite Check In

• All swimmers must check in and get bodymarked. Check in will begin at 6:30 and close at 7:30 am. All swimmers must be checked in by 7:30 so the buses can be loaded to transport to the start lines. Buses leave at 7:30.

Day of Race Registration

• Begins at 6:30 am. Fill out paper form and add $5.00 to the entry on race day. Get there early.

Timing

• Timing will be done by 1st Place Sports, using the Championchip system.

Proceeds

• Proceeds from this event benefits the Competition Team for the American Red Cross Volunteer Life Saving Corps.

Notes

• Direction of the race will be determined morning of the swim, taking into account the current. Busses will take the swimmers to the starting point of the swim.
• We will be exiting either to the north or south of the fishing pier- we will NOT swim through it!
• Lifeguards and kayakers will be on the course, however this is an open water swim! This is not the time to test your open water skills for the first time!
